These are powerful words that sum up the restless spirit behind everything we do! I’m Sarfaraz Rathod – I’m the one excited to introduce you to Visit Wander, your go-to source for mapping out awesome destinations, India being especially spotlighted for its variety of wonders.
My Story: The Journey to Becoming a ‘Wanderer’
Hello travelers! I’m Sarfaraz Rathod, and I’m from Vadodara (Gujarat), India. For me, the love for traveling wasn’t a sense that I developed sometime later in life; I’ve come from a travel-centric family, and it all began when I was very young.
Travel is not just a vacation here in our family; it’s part of the fabric of our lives. The nine of us are a family, and we go on two or three (big) vacations every year. This lovely habit has taken us across much of India, covering anything from the serene beauty of Kashmir and vibrant cities of Rajasthan to the history of Maharashtra and tranquil backwaters in Kerala.
Our journey has not stopped at India’s frontiers. We have traveled internationally together to Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and we have enjoyed a great family trip in Iraq recently. And this traveling with my family became my greatest passion faster and quicker.
My job allowed me that freedom to pursue this passion. I have worked from home for a content creation company since 2021. This gig was my deep dive into the digital space, and it taught me everything from SEO to content structure to how you reach people online.
In 2022, I had an epiphany: I now had tons of travel experience and real-world digital know-how – it was time to marry the two! I started by writing posts about my travels and posting them online for all to read. That was the pivot that resulted in Visit Wander being created.
With it being a personal blog no more, today the blog has definitely become my baby. Inspired by the content, my cousin brother Avez Chouhan decided to come along on this journey with me. Together, we are working to make Visit Wander a useful place to find our knowledge from all of the places we have visited and tips along the way that will help turn your travel dreams into reality.
I have traveled to the end of India, to Kashmir’s snow-covered tranquility and Rajasthan’s thriving desert, to Kerala’s tranquil backwaters and Maharashtra’s boisterous vibe — all over Dubai, all over Saudi Arabia, and even in Iraq — I know that journey never ends. Each new horizon only fuels the love, driving me on and on to the next destination and hidden gems.
